Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire Complete NC :.
Prototype and Production Machining
Course Duration: 2 day/ 16 Hours
Enrollment: $1200.00 USD
Overview: Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire's new
Pro/NC is mainly used by mold makers and production and prototype machine
shops. In addition, the Pro/NC eliminates the inaccuracies and inconvenience
of exporting Pro/ENGINEER geometry to third party machining software.
Pro/NC is the premier programming system for families of parts with many
variations of the same basic design. The programming can be done once
for a generic part. New instances of the part are then swapped in, and
the machining automatically updates for all instances.
This class is intended on improving the proficiency of CNC skills of the
participant using Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire CNC utilities. Sign up your staff
to this class if you want to introduce you staff to CNC, better more efficient
and more user-friendly CNC programs or to improve the proficiency of your
CNC programmers. Expect faster setups and improved proficiency of your
setup people. Also expect better and faster production runs with fewer
scrap workpieces, improve the proficiency of your CNC operators.
Prerequisites:
If you intend on making CNC your core business one should come
to class with previous experiance operating an NC machine and Pro/SURFACE
skills. For this class some experience with operational experiance with
CNC machine and Pro/SURFACE helpful but not necessary.
Topics:
Milling - 3-5 Axis
Turning - 2, 4, and multi-axis mill/turns
Wire EDM - 2 and 4 axis
G-POST - used to create post processors
Process Removal Simulation
Process Plan and Route Sheet Development
Tooling Library
Learn to Create, check, and optimize NC sequences
Pro/ENGINEER Production Machining provides manufacturing engineers and
job shops with robust NC programming capabilities. Engineers can define
custom drilling cycles to accommodate their specific requirements, significantly
reducing cycle time. Tool and fixture libraries enable engineers to create,
simulate, and document 3-axis milling, 2- to 4-axis turning, and 4-axis
wire EDM toolpaths.
Parametric Surface Modeling. Utilize Pro/SURFACE for any number of basic
functions within NC operations in toolpath setup procedures.
Discussions:
Discuss overview for NC code generation, including NC Program creation,
Process Documentation, Post-processing and toolpath verification and simulation.
Discuss selecting a previous reroughing NC sequence as a reference for
a new reroughing operation.
Discuss Pro/ENGINEER's ability for adaptation to design changes.
Eliminates data translation errors with an integrated CAD/CAM from conceptual
design to manufacturing.
Discuss machinging directly to STL data.
Discuss why and how to use a previous reroughing NC sequence as a reference
for a new reroughing operation.
Discuss toolpath simulation in new Pro/NC that displays the tool shaded,
allowing dynamic rotation and zooming during simulation. Note how Pro/ENGINEER
now automatically performs line removal on the tool path motions.
Discuss how simulation can facilitate toolpath verification process
